Activities
• The coastal municipality of Polis enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild dry winters. Stunning natural beauty, rich historical heritage and a glorious climate combine to make Cyprus an ‘island of contrasts’.

Walking and Hiking
• Explore the Akamas Peninsula and vicinity:
• The Akamas area has many nature trails which are self guided and vary in distance and gradient. The area is a stopover place for the main bird migration route from Europe to Africa, particularly in spring and autumn. In the summer months, the turtles arrive at Lara to lay their eggs on the sandy beach.
• The Adonis Trail (7.5 km walk from Baths of Aphrodite to the Tower of Rigena) the Aphrodite and Smigies trails are all easily accessed from Neo Chorio.
Further afield
• Drive and Hike tours to Kykkos Monastery, the Avakas Gorge and Wine making villages of Akamas heights (such as Kritou Tera, Drousia).
Sport
• The sea temperature varies between 16 – 27o C and the diving season is one of the longest in the Mediterranean. The turquoise waters of the Chrysochous Bay are pristine clear and opportunities abound to learn and participate in all types of water sports.

• Snorkelling and Scuba Diving (including some wreck Diving) Glass Bottom boat: Blue Lagoon, St George’s Island, and Fontana Amorosa.
